a strange little guitar i have from my parents in law. I don't remember where it comes from. The frets are particular, not regular in the lenght, made of steel plate.

actually , gotta credit The Phrygian Kid for the Kabosy info (posted on another picture here ) kid has done multi scale / staggered scales and i figured it was up his ally . so i directed the info to him , hence he posted the solved mystery . ;-)
Yes, one wound string, and the rest plain steel, same diameter! I tried on a GDG tuning, but it's weird on it. the sound is clear. I think it's "tourist" made, so not so old... The wood is plain wood, not plywood!
