We got into feeding the birds in th back yard a few years ago. My wife calls the scrub Jays and they come and take peanuts from her hand.
We have had several hundred Gold finches on our feeders in good years, it looks like a cloud of gold.
Birds are fun and interesting.

I am trying to make friends with two crows I see all the time...whenever I see them I leave food...wife thinks I am weird for doing this
