  • That's a good idea. The original plan was for the hook points to buried in a drill hole in the timber. I didn't work because with the points angled a little into the wood the hook eye sat up quite high and didn't give me a straightish pull on the strings.

  • These 3 hooks are anchored/ attached with hooks also. I've used a different hook design with a long straight shaft. I've cut the shafts from the hooks, drilled the timber at a angle and epoxied them in. The hooks holding the strings are very strong they pull straight from roughly where there are sitting to the eye. It should all be solid and consistent when I fit and put tension on the strings.

  • Hey Richey, they are very sharp. I'm not sure yet but I will either cover the points with a small bead or some clear plastic tubing. I don't really want to cut the tips off.
