Pour in about a pint of turpentine, cap it, shake to thin the residue and pour into a suitable container for disposal. If that doesn't work try ethanol as the solvent. A can of the liquid chaffing dish fuel would be enough just be sure it's ethanol and liquid not gelled. Resist the temptation to use gasoline or trichloroethylene.
Thanks Mud! I need to figure out how to get the residue out of it. It's like tar....I poured about a quart out of it, but I don't think I can get anymore out without a solvent of some kind.
