  • yeah not bad.  if they play alright you can do ok putting em on consignment in guitar stores too

  • Thank you Skeet that is a great Idea.

  • Take them to an Art Gallery. They take a good cut, but my experience has been that it's worth it.  The uniqueness of them makes them desirable to the store and their customers.  Most of mine end up in the window display because it gets people's attention.  The one I deal with asks me to keep a minimum of 5 in stock.  That gives me an excuse to build 3 or 4 per month.  Just my 2 cents.

  • I appreciate both of your feelings about Ebay, Im not exactly thrilled about them either, but I would like to show my daughters who are convinced that my work would sell, that effort and cost do not necessarily equate to other people appreciating your craft. I hope that I get alot more than 33 dollars, It would be very nice. The number of hours that go into one Cigarbox guitar are never recoverable by the price that one will sell for. I want to make CBG's for many reason, love of art and music, disgusted by the price of cheap Chinese goods that have flooded the market place, and they just sound so cool. I figure though that the people who would appreciate them the most are already building their own. At the end of the day I will probably build them for myself and for my friends.

With all respect and admiration of your art and craft, Mike.

  • With respect, if ur selling em on eBay ur screwing urself, don't blame others
  • any decent guitar has more than 33 dollars in parts---if you want to give yours away, then go ahead, but don't screw us on evil-bay

  • My third build, put it on Ebay with a starting bid of 33 dollars, no reserve,
