  • Thank you sir

  • Great detail.
  • Hi Chuck, thank you. The salt water and vinegar solution is 1/4 cup vinegar, 1 tablespoon of salt, one zinc screw, one brass screw or grommet and then anything chrome should activate the whole mixture. The brass should have no coating on it.The bridge is really more like a "tie down" rather than a drawer pull. I picked it up at the local hardware store and I will try to get the name of the piece and put a picture up of one before modification.

  • I love the bridge idea too, it looks too low to be a standard drawer or cabinet handle. What is that part called?
I really like the color/aged look you got with the salt and vinegar. What proportions did you use on it? I think I would like to attempt something with that effect sometime.
    Beautiful build!
  • Thanks! its from the hardware store, metal is fairly soft and easy to file. The bridge can be raised if needed by adding small washers to either side, the bass side actually has two installed. The color came from the vinegar and salt solution with a zinc screw, brass grommet and then the chrome handle was inserted, it took about 45 seconds for the brown and black to appear.

  • that bridge is a great idea
