  • might  wanna try it on the wood  ..

  • It's on the metal.

  • placement  sounds  good .  as   does the  caulk ,   is it  on the metal  ?  or the  wood  ?

  • I've got it set & covered with a good amount of silicone adhesive caulk.  It's directly under the bridge...maybe I need to move it?  Also wondered about sandwiching it between some 1/8" cork.

  • try  setting the piezo in  a bed of hot glue  ,,  then   cover it  in   hot  glue also  .

that  will  keep  your  squelches  and feed  back   and    unwanted  sensitivity   down  .

  • Sounds pretty good "unplugged".  It was my first experience with a piezo pickup, and it's really "hot"--picks up lots of noise from the slide.  I might re-wire it to add a volume control (now that I've done one of those), and/or move the pickup off the iron, try to insulate it more.
