This is where I had the most headaches. Trying to get all these dimensions to work. Couldnt find any large blocks of maple anywhere that wasnt pieced together. So I went to Home Depot and found a table leg on clearance and cut off the square block at the top. Cutting the grooves in the heel was extremely difficult as they are 4.24 inches in. My table saw blade height is almost 3 inches. I had to slightly modify the stroke on the scroll saw, use a hefty blade and finish cutting the slots. The one under the fretboard was not so bad, but the one in the middle was pretty hard. Too bad the color didnt match.
