That's a real compliment coming from an experienced and accomplished builder like yourself, I'm humbled! Chickenbone John has unselfishly passed on so many good tips and useful advice in his many YouTube videos, just like the rest of the good people of The Nation do too.....for which I'm extremely grateful.
Cheers for the comments guys, and once again to Chickenbone John for the design. Exactly so, and I find the rigidity/stability it gives the neck really helps with carving/profiling and allows for more control with the tools.
Kool. I remember they used to sell something like this when I was a kid? It had a leather belt & a buckle, but had a rubber cane end on it? At any rate , it’s a good thing to have around? Who wouldn’t want an extra hand? Cheers

I built a similar device having seen Chickenbone Johns design, but yours look a lot more elegant than mine, very useful.
Excellent! Good design.
