Finish is simple, first belt sanded, finish sanded, stained with light danish oil stain, then with a rag sprayed with rattle can black paint rubbed into grain, then stained again, then let dry 12+ hours and lightly burnt with propane torch, lightly wire brushed and rubbed with steel wool, then 3-4 coats of varathane.
