The box was made from Poplar from a freight pallet. It was planed down to 3/8ths, trimmed,split, beveled and the finished size is 9 x 14. The top is also Poplar, 1/4th book-matched and edge glued with F holes cut out on the scroll saw. The pick plate is curly maple 1/8th", edge glued and book-matched, and the new owners name scrolled into it. Never intended for it to come out looking like the shape of an acoustic guitar but it did. The neck is a Burswood, tightly secured into the body with plenty of support.
