Hickory 'Bagpipe' CBG

My first CBG :-D I made the whole thing out of hickory, including the box. I cut the front corners off to make sound holes. I fretted it to match the bagpipe scale. This way I can play the pipe tunes I know.

  • It sounds very mellow to my ear. The Frets are set to just intonation mixolydian mode. That is what is bagpipe is, with one more note below the tonic. So my CBG has 9 notes like a Scottish bagpipe.
  • I used to make shapes out of posterboard called polyhedra. It just came to my mind to take the "cube" and cut the corners bringing it closer to a shape called a truncated cube. I'll be making a video this weekend :-D
