Close ups of the bodies.A 2x4 cut on my band saw to shape with the soundbox hollowed out. Spruce top wood and backs. Scraps from other builds. Modified fiddle tailpiece. Walnut saddle. Cedar fingerboards. Diddley is fretless and still needs a tuner and the second string.

    Thanks George. I'll have to try the skulls some time soon. I'm not a skull guy, but good tuners may turn my head...

    I've bought VERY expensive tuners in my day.  But I keep asking myself exactly why I believe the Gitty Skull tuners are the best I have!  'Cause they are.

    Thanks Monterey, I've got my tuners for the bow. It has room for 3 strings, so i guess she'll get em. Gitty tuners seem nice yet cheap. $24 for 10 tuners shipped. Nice. Got a new plank fiddle in the works. Pics soon.
