I forgot to mention that I used 1-inch thick butternut that Ive had sitting around the barn for 30+ years for the neck and headstock. Light brown in color, very easy to carve and work with. I faced the headstock with mahogany veneer. Spear point and fretboard are black cherry. Ebony nut. Brass rod at zero fret. Painted moon.
