Yes they tried to scoot out on me too, so I clamped each piece seperately to the table as I clamped them together. They couldn't budge then. What you see in the picture is after a few hours, after I removed the table clamps.
Those scarf joints always give me fits. throw some glue on and add clamps and it will scate every which way. I think I'm going to put a dowel through it next time. You make it look easy.
