Harmony lap steel from the 50s

Here's the controls and pickup on my beast Harmony relic. It's a Roy Schmeck model Harmony from early 50s. Check out that long crane head knob and cupcake tone knob. And the pickup is clear and sweet. Square poles. Has that old cowboy dance hall sound.

  • Like that knob Pick? This thing just naturally plays jazz. A Hawaiian tiki room sort of music. I've found the tone control on her doesn't do much but add to volume control. Maybe a new capacitor would change things? Any advise out there? For now though, she sounds great just the way she is.
