Works just like a $70 scroll saw should. I also have a Craftsman Commercial quality saw that is much better. I've pretty much dedicated the cheap saw to cutting fret slots. I purchased the Craftsman used at auction and if I were to do it over again I would have purchased a better quality small scroll saw at auction. Around me there are tons of good used wood working tools to be found at auctions. My complaints about the HF saw is the table is pressed and not cast and the tube that is supposed to blow dust off the cut doesn't work.
