  • Thanks, yes, your info is helpful.

  • Most of mine are around .6 to .8 inches thick.  1" is a little on the thick side for me.  Most of my fretboards finish out at around .2 inches or so.  If you are using a truss rod, you have to allow for that thickness plus some.  My last 6 string finishes out at overall around 0.9 inches.  Hope this helps..

  • Hi, I am researching info because I am building my first 6 string cbg from scratch. I have build 3 string and recently a 4 string, anyway- - my question, is what should my neck thickness be when I am finished. I am modeling most of my specs with fender telecaster or strat, but cannot seem to find exactly my ansdwer to thickness of neck. Right now, I am at 3/4" thick, but that is before I put the 1/4" fretboard on. This will give me 1" total. Thoughts? Thanks for your feedback. I enjoyed seeing what you have done- really good stuff- - Lonman

  • with twisty fret wire! you can get it really cheap!
  • I wanna see how you're going to fret that twisty one on the left. :-))
