  • my wife is the wino always gets very nice wine so yes the bottles are all good to use cheers AGP

  • 10 out of 11 is a good result Bones, it's very hard to find wine bottles with thick glass sides these days, especially when the Missus only drinks the cheap stuff from Dan Murphy's  :-D

  • yes ive seen this one a bit of a back and forth TTTT ill stick with the sawall ive got that down pat cheers for the link mate .

  • Well I didn't find the video I was looking for but this one has the the key secret... only heat and cool at the score line otherwise you get random cracks and jagged edges.

And no, they don't seem to have a brick and mortar store.

  • ill have a look again last time i stuffed up maybe i didnt get it right ill keep a eye out for your link later im making a wall hanger for the shop front so the guits look good il put up a pic soon . Did you get to you know where yesterday ?.

  • Hmm... With the hot/cold water method there shouldn't be any broken glass, just one smooth cut. When I get off work I'll see if I can find the video that learned it from on YouTube. Might have even been a CBN member.  : )

  • yes mate i have ... i seem to sweep up more broken glass that way . The blade im using sets a vibration through the glass so i cut into the top and as it gets to the depth of the blade the top snaps through and drops on the bench a quick sand and its done , keeping the water hot in my shed is problem , im sure some other guys have good success that way .... Sawsall for me .

  • Now I'm not knocking your technique Bones but have you tried the hot and cold water method? It's quick and makes really smooth edges.

  • I better get my sorry ass to the Track then ... Damn dropping one .... not to worry theres 10 odd bottles on bench for the wet slop ....

  • therm is good odds  ;-)
