Vintage tweed radio case, Hamm's Beer faceplate, 2.5 watt Artec amp circuit, vintage top hat volume knob, 4" speaker, 9 volt battery box, leather strap from an old set of horse reins, brass grommet soundport, red l.e.d. on/off light on the Hamm's label. I've only used the SD-2W, I need to get some of the MAH3 and MAH5's but Ty was out of them on my last order. Wes could help you with the 3 and 5 waters, I know he has used them and likes them.
Thanks much, Maddog! I've used a couple of the CBGitty Artec kits, and will check out GF. I like the incredulous looks my friends display when they see a 'handmade' CBG amp! Here's one of mine:
I use Artec's and Guitar Fuel amps Gary, I like them both. The Guitar Fuel does come with an outside the box gain pot so in situations where I have room or want a gain knob outside the box they work nice. I use them a lot on old radio amps as there is always a place for 2 knobs. The Artecs are nice when I just want volume only or I'm tight on room. Wes turned me onto the GF amps and I can't thank him enough, they are great amps and good value.

Oh hell I know Wes lol :-D
A new picture with the grill cloth.. Do you a favorite GF amp? Even their SD2WC looks to have an external gain pot...
Actually, I've added a silver and black tweed cloth since this photo, which dresses it up nicely! I'll update my pictures...

OK Wes & 'Dog - - please elaborate on other options to the cheap ass Artec boards! For a quick and easy CBG amp, what's the board of choice??? Thanks!
I use both. I use the Artecs when I only have room for or only need a volume knob.
