I"m not really bothered by the rattle, I traded that uke for one of my uke tattoos. I've made 3 lunchbox ukes sofar and 2 handles were on the top and 1 on the bottom . The bottom one rattled alot more.

Did you leave the lunchbox handle on, and if so, is the rattle making you crazy? I've got a lunchbox in my queue and am thinking about taking off the handle, but where's the fun in that?
