Sylver: The purpose for controls direct on the guitar is to be able to quickly adjust at the guitar, without needing to mess with the amp, especially when performing.
Hi Jess
I appreciate your advise on the wiring issue, Sir. I already got the diagram. You are very right on the mess as that part the process does end up. Verily my little amp has knobs for tone, vol, etc. like those that everybody, it's supposed, use. That's why I'd not dared to question on it. What difference does it make to put those knobs on the guitar, then? Excuse my ignorance, pls. lol.
Sylver: You're correct, I only use a volume pot, because I can control gain, tone, etc. at my amp, and besides I didn't want to mess with the added wiring in the guitar. I will add a diagram to my blog of how I wire my six-string guitars. Like you, I use transducers on the three- and four-string builds. Thanks for your comments, Jess.
Hi Sir
I've had a look at your blog, really interesting. Pics of yours guitars look rather great. I'm however stuck. After my first projects (which have transducer pick-ups) I haven't been able to make anything more. I got 4 projs more in queue on which I instead would to put magnetic pick-ups but I got a mess up about the wiring job. Yours look like so simple instead. As I can see on this one, it's only a volume knob on it. I didn't know that's possible, Sir. What about the tone knob or the on/off switch?. Would you mind posting some directions, perhaps a diagram? How did you sort that issue out in the above pic project, for example?. I would really appreciate it, Sir.
