This string stretcher was inspired by being given a yardstick from a local hardware store that closed 20 years ago.Glued it to a rough cut poplar neck that runs through a new (clean inside) can.Drilled some holes and cut some notches in a can opener for bridge/sadle. Then threw a piezo pick-up in it. It plays ok with a slide. Sounds kinda tinny (go figure) for my taste but it's a fun little novelty.
