Gutted !! lost out to this on Ebay last night by a £1... had it all worked out in my head how this was going to work too.....even have a big wine box for it to go in...Gone back to my repro phonograph horn idea now...bar humbug!

I have just sketched some ideas ...for an easy build concept... would love to see a pic of the inside of your horn diapham to see how this could work..(I'm sure that's never been aked of you before!) lol
I`m still going with the idea of using a old horn diaphram, metal bridge and a kenworth truck horn. A few copper pipe fittings and a copper pipe elbow. Solder the fittings to the elbow then braze the horn to the elbow. Then on to the easy part....building the neck. Then back trying to put everything together. Like Cajun once said...it`s an on going project....lol.
I recon I could have made this work, if nothing else it would have looked very heath robinson... and kinda cool .
have ordered a 10 3/4" phonograph horn instead which I aim to fit to 2 tuna cans with a bone bridge unless i can figure out a cool hinge mechanism... but havent given up on the gramaphone sound box idea yet...might do a sketch later and post... maybe 2 hub caps back to back instead?
my broom stick and hub cap 3 string sounds fab...how could I fit a pring plate inside to get a reverb sound too?
Too bad...but if you look at the pic`s of the diaphram of the phonofiddle it`s huge compared to this one here. Produces more sound with a bigger diaphram, that size might work with a mic element attached to it.
