    I sold this guitar some time ago, but I haven't heard of any issues with the wood cutting in yet. I just made sure the strings sat across the grain of the nut. I believe the wood was mahogany, but I would need to doublecheck.

    I really like your idea for the nut.  Do the strings dig into the wood at all?

    I'm having a hard time getting the nut right in my builds and this looks like it would be a good solution.
