All new and improved - thanks to great input and ideas from the nation. With the little dowel glued into the old hammer block style fret press, it now sticks into the drill press chuck and goes up and down where I want it to. The new operation is smooth, accurate, and doesn't leave bruises in the fret board or my fingers. Thank you nation!
