:-) Ted, the k ohms are less due to the slightly thicker wire in use. The standard coils get 2x2000 turns; these there are 25% and 50% hotter respectively. That's why these here are a bit higher than usual, 1/4".
That U-core tin metal is the most recent development: It smoothens the harsh high harmonics in change for more mids. Without that, the bridge position sounded too tinny to me. Now I'm ok with what I get out of it.
