  Thanks Nathan! Fortunately the box came already stained that way - I did apply a bit of touch-up stain on the edges of the sound holes, tho. I also took a power sander to the paint can lid for a matte brushed metal finish.

  Did you stain the box, or was it like that? Cuz it sure looks nice! Nice clean job Robin!

  thanks! it sounds pretty loud altho I'm not sure the paint can lid makes much of a difference - the box is kind of big to begin with. Trying to sort out the 4-string thing re: tuning/chords.
