I fiddled around for months with the idea of connecting a foot pedal to a snare drum, i use snare in some of my songs and thought it would be nice to have one in my live set up.I tried all sorts of elaborately designed frames to hold the drum in position, nothing worked and i was going to give up, them i thought of screwing a flat piece of wood to the front on a hinge then using the foot "pedal grip" to grip a slightly upturned section of the rim...and it worked! Sits nice and solid, great sound, can't wait to try it live...but with four pedals things might get complicated - i can see some rehearsal will be necessary! (-;

Thanks Steve
I had a drum pedal that fitted to my snare
That kept coming off.
Been playing mine since last year but
This looks so simple and effective
I have an old marching snare with a big metal flange
So will try than next if not I will start drilling holes
And doing the same.
Thanks for the tips.
Thanks for posting this , Slowpaw. A very elegant simple solution , that eluded me ! I will only be trying only two pedals at once . Because I only have two," left", feet !
