Five string banjo neck

The neck is two pieces 3/4" red oak laminated together and shaped by hand. (A LOT OF SANDING) !!! I don't know whether fret it or not??? Whole banjo is stained with red mahogany Minwax stain. I don't think I'll polyurethane it.
