EuLong Cookie Tin Resonator, Photo 2

The inner circular lid of the Eu Long cookie tin is currently my preferred resonator as it has a fairly wide "lip" around the edge. This makes cutting a hole in the sound box for it much easier (you don't need to be so precise in cutting the holes) and it is held in just by gravity or string pressure (once the instrument has been strung up). It's about 6" in diameter and is some iron alloy as magnets stick to it. The outer coating appears to be a thin decorative plating that gives it the brass/golden color. The plating can be sanded off to yield the silvery metal beneath. The two Chinese characters are "Eu" and "Long", which I suppose is both the brand name and the location where the product is made (a town in the New Territories of Hong Kong).
