took way WAY too long, but that was just from over-deliberation at each decision -- but luckily everything added up. After having it strung up for a few days and getting to know the instrument -- I really wouldn't change a thing except the nut (I did this on purpose, but it's a little dopey - just a regular 1/8 or 3/16 slug would do the trick)...
And the pickup! at first I thought it was too 'dark' toned for the neck-ish position because I had to turn up the mid and tre on my Blues Junior...but whoopdeedoo, so I had to turn them to 8 instead of the 5 or 6 I usually set it to for my Strat...this pickup is just cool sounding. Played it for a bunch of people at a few guitar stores, and they all said 'sick cool and unique'...sort of a weirdly in your face when pushed, but clean bell-like when vol rolls back...like a weird P-90. I've gotta wind a another few before I get a clue of shaping the tone with the build...wanna do a mini humbucker next...
