Elmer, after receiving the metal plate under the bridge. I really dig the unique tone given by that plate and have been installing them on almost everything I build. Also have replaced the box with a larger castro bros box. It's natural finish better compliments the oak neck.

    thanks dave, that plate is just resting on the soundboard.  sometimes i do it different ways.

    Beautiful mandolin. Nice setting for the photo as well. Does your plate have a cut out under it or is it resting on the soundboard?
