  • my first choice of machine for this job (if I got it right) would be a band saw, you can use a router for thicknessing , maybe with a saddle jig & copy ring? good luck

  • ive been experimenting with a couple of fixtures ( jigs) for my little router  to try and cut the ends of my necks . for where the tuners go. taking them from the neck thickness to 5/8.  have you made one of these fixtures yet. ? 

  • Sorry , man totally mis understood you. My fault still early. yeah way different kick. alot of fun im learning  but im really diggin it.    i like shaping oak ,its hard has a feel almost like steel for me in my hands when i use files haha

  • yeah kick pedal is on the other side , its made out of an old trench fighting knife handle looks sorta like brass knuckles . a friend of mine makes em.  i use em on all the bikes i build. he engraves em.  he did my axle plates for me on this bike . if you look at my othe bike pic youll see the kick , this one is about the same way its just engraved a little.  thanks for the comments.

  • thank you Martin, I built her a couple years back. I used to build motorcycles and choppers. But I have just now started working with wood. Its alot friendler.
