  • The threaded rods or bolts are really good for preventing string hop.  I think they sound fine too.   You have good distance on number one.   One other tip, the tuners will last longer and maybe perform better if the gear is on the down side- the guitar body side- when you install them.

  • Beauty, just learnt my first technical thing.  I will have to make my headstocks  little larger from now on to accommodate the extended distance from the nut.  I haven't noticed any problems as yet but have primarily used threaded rod or bolts, only just venturing into bone nut and saddles now.......many thanks

  • Oh, I like that sound hole cover!

My experience is that the string pressure on the nut is better and the strings say in place better with an inch and a half distance (or more) from nut to tuner post.  I think that is why factory builds do it that way too.

  • OK is there a reason for the space between the nut and the tuners?  The break angle or some other reason?  Tit bit of info....the sound hole trim is a door handle spacer of a door handle set!

  • Wow!  Number one especially looks good.  I like the fret markers.   Two is looking good.  I've found it usually works better to have a bit more space between the nut and closest tuner.  Very nice!
