My wife’s birthday is coming up soon and she likes me to make her presents so I ordered this cool C.B. Gitty kalimba kit. It was fun and easy to build. Of course, I added a few touches of my own like giving it an extra coat of urethane and a piezo pup with jack. I cut a really raggedy sound hole in the front, which did not look so great, so I went to a local craft shop and bought the biggest wooden button that had, added a few more holes to the four that were already in it, and glued that puppy to the front to cover my not-so-pretty workmanship. And to add a custom button feature since my wife has been sewing all her life.
