The wood on this build started out as a cherry tree in my parents' backyard. The tree, alas, was not well and had to come down. Now this woodland citizen of Madison, Wisconsin lives on as a guitar. The magnetic pickup was hand-spun by PapaSimone and the cigar box lives on from a 1948 Milwaukee cigar maker (The box can be easily dated because it was censored in 1948 so that Thora shows less of her breasts see the national cigar museum http://www.nationalcigarmuseum.com/History_of_Cigars/Censorship.html for some interesting cigar box history).
