Making progress - strung up the fretless neck. Discovered the bridge was way too high. Cut the bridge in half - works fine now. Discovered the string ball ends wouldn't fit in the channel of the tail piece. Pulled out the dremel grinder. Made a nasty tear in the front of the box with the dremel. Took the tailpiece out to grind the other slots. Discovered the nut slots weren't deep enough to hold the strings in alignment. Grabbed some tiny eyebolts to align the strings. Started to tension string three and discovered I had wrapped it around the other strings. Laughed at own stupidity. Went to bed before I messed up anything else. :)
