Here it is stripped......all done with a few new Stanley blades.....(box cutter blades in American?) I started with the fret board before going any further to assess their condition, which was pretty much 'as new' under all that horrible black enamel paint. I also drilled out the three original plastic fret board dot inlays (all actually recessed into the board due to holes being drilled too deep....!) and fitted the pau abalone replacements at this time. I also cut the hole for the dog bowl resonator at the same time, having measured where the bridge saddle would end up......interesting scale length at 19 1/4", a new one to me.
