Cool! I am building it with some Fender Strat parts so it will have three pickup. I have added four go sized ports so I think I may get away with acoustic too.
If things turn out as planned, it will be a killer CBG! ;)

It's definitely an electric biased box as the lid is pretty thick. The sound holes do help, but using pickups with a fairly high output is the key for a good bluesey tone, as the mdf construction mellows it out.

Hey. I am starting a project using this box. I see you have sound ports. Is the box any good acoustically?
I am leaning toward more of an electric but I do have sound ports.
