  • Yes, this diddley bow is pretty heavy (from red oak) and designed for lap-style playing.  It's level on the bottom side and the action is quite high, so that you can move the slide without contacting your legs, a stand, or a table top, etc.  The "fretless fret board" is 1/4" x 1.5" red oak that attaches to the base with two screws, allowing you to switch between multiple "scale boards" by swapping scale boards and repositioning the floating bridge.
