Detail of head and nut on updated first attempt

The head had gone through a number of changes. Initially I used 1/4" screw eyes as tuning machines (note the hole in the one that's now the nut - that's from when it was a tuner.) Also experimented with the strings going through the head to try and lower the action. Eventually got some donated machines and it's much easier to tune and play now.

  • They're cut down cotter pins attached with CA glue. Also used some CA to hold the nut and bridge in place, remarkably so far it's held them all tight. Planning on using some real fret wire on #2 though.
  • What is that you used for frets?
