This cut puts the fret board at the same plane as the face of the lid - may not be the best way to do it. Thinking about getting more clearance to keep the pic from hitting the top of the box. Still it works ok so far and its easy to do. Looks good to me. Those are toothpick frets glued into vee notches with yellow carpenters glue. WIll post detail of poor boy fret install sometime soon.
