Thanks Scott.."Wooly" was Folk Artist of the Year in South Carolina in 2010. I'll post some more pics. The headstock is a millwheel. It's all hand carved.
Uncle John, i do indeed love instrumentrs...especially stringed ones..i think i'm up to around 15...running out of room in my studio! As for the trivia, i'm afraid you have stumped me!
