I raised the pickup with a scrap of cherry (from our backyard). The Teisco single coil really rocks! Note my string ground. A brass tube peened at the ends and drilled for screws. On the right side is the wire lead for the ground. The jack plate is a scrap of buckeye burl with nice grain. The big knob is the cutout for the sound hole with ebony and mahogany laminated below the cutout. The tone knob is black metal with a set screw. Mahogany home made bridge and old mahogany scrap tailpiece with cloud inlay. Two of my strings are vintage Black Diamonds from the way back machine. I got a big bag of mandolin and guitar strings of ebay. They are pre tarnished, but sound great. I've use two on each of my last 3 builds.

Thanks Pick. It is playing really great. I fixed the fret problem today. Super glued each fret. They were all a little loose in the middle, almost like a radius fret, they were bowed. I pressed each fret as I glued them. It worked. I dressed off the whole board with a flat file. Now she plays like a dream!
