I used the small gap between the unglued fret board and the neck to wedge in the fret position marker thumb tacks. The first octave is in brass, the second octave is in white thumb tacks. I also did a 2 minute chase of the neck with a quarter round bit on my router to round the neck and give it a better feel. It works out great! I really like this down-and-dirty quick build and plunk around on it about half the time with a home made copper slide.
