jasus this is the first cohiba box i bought on e-bay. you said you couldnt wait to see what i would do with it,when i told you i had one cohiba box like yours,i just had the box.this is what i did with it. still under construction.will take pics of the finished project when finished and prolly do a video also.
thanks fer da comments fellers it make me feels good to know i am appreciated fer my brains. and guitar designs.i give credit fer influence on this particular design to ted crocker,he is one of my guitar design heroes of this century.
its semi-hollow and still in construction stage,i have already assembled it fer playin to check out the stats on it. it got a real old bone nut i found that i had fer prolly 20 years but i had to rework the top of the nut so i joined a nice piece of ebony to the bottom of the nut before reshaping it.it gots a adjustable neck block, look at the pic that shows the open back and you can see the neckblock with t-nuts in it and screws go thru the front of the body.just turn the screws and instant action setter, for slide or finger-pickin.gonna put a cohiba mahogony headstock veneer on it.and i will install electronics, and dobro screen soundhole covers. oh and i put it all together with no glue, except fer the fingerboard inlays,i did that a few years back in texas,on that particular neck.
