The mahogany heel adds color and some strength.I've been told by players who bought previous builds from me that they prefer the jack on a side other than the front. ... I put it where the wood is thin so it is easy to install - just cut a hole the proper size.There is a Rod piezo pick up inside between the neck through wood, and the box top.Only two screws on the bottom of this build. They're all on the top.
