This is an acrylc blank used for making pens. It is a fun hobby if you own a small wood lathe and can afford the special jigs and fixture tools to make them. They are available online at Woodcraft.com. Great stuff to work with and polishes up very well like glass. Not too brittle either, pretty resilient, turns well, cuts ok ( have to go slow so not to melt it), sands well and buffs well.
