  Ah yes.  That makes sense.  I wonder if the old blues guys used the back edge of a pocket knife blade for a slide?

  I think it's all about shapes why it doesn't work the way I like it on a guitar .  A common slide is round and then there's more action instead of a flat knife you must position the knife more correctly on the strings.  Well, that's my explanation.

  thx. I was thinking about old stories of old bluesmen playing slideguitar with a knife at trainstations when i
  made this one.
  Not so good on the guitar but it works perfect on the diddleybow...

  nice slides, what kind of wood you use, do you glue them roughly together and then shape the slide or
  do you have another procedure ?

  I did some digging in my backyard and found a broken knife and made a slide of it.
  Is it a knifeslide or a slideknife ? i call it my "clawslide" :)
